Pulmonary faculty to consider rigid bronchoscopy

Dr. Michal Senitko, UMMC assistant professor of medicine (pulmonary), will present the Department of Anesthesiology Grand Rounds lecture, "Anesthesia Considerations for Rigid Bronchoscopy," from 6:30-7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, in classroom 3A.

UT postdoc to discuss vascular dysfunction in African-Americans

​Dr. Thales C. Barbosa, postdoctoral fellow in the Human Neural Cardiovascular Control Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Texas at Arlington, will give the UMMC Department of Physiology and Biophysics presentation, "Vascular Dysfunction in African-American Individuals," from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, in room CW308 of the Classroom Wing.

Ruckdeschel to host CCRI director's meetings July 24

Dr. John Ruckdeschel, UMMC Cancer Center and Research Institute director, will host the quarterly Cancer Center and Research Institute Director’s Meetings on Wednesday, July 24.

The first meeting will take place from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in room CW106 of the Classroom Wing and the second will take place from 4-5 p.m. in room MK1109 at the Jackson Medical Mall.

All CCRI members and cancer researchers and all UMMC employees who work with cancer patients are invited. The meetings will include an overview of CCRI objectives, an update on progress toward those objectives and a question-and-answer session.
